Fez Medina

The medina of Fez, with its vast souks, countless alleys, artisans and tanneries, had long held a near-magical attraction for me. So, equipped for the first time with a mirrorless camera, I set off for Morocco on my first photographic journey in years.

Day after day I roamed this vast labyrinth, often no longer knowing exactly where I was. Without a fixed concept, guided only by light, colours and people, I photographed artisans and traders, children and the elderly, in alleyways and in the slums.

What emerged is not a photo series in the classic sense, but rather a colourful collection of individual snapshots.
